We had a long day of driving this day, and it rained faily heavily. By the time we got to Fortune, though, things had cleared.
We checked into our Bed and Breakfast in Fortune. It was called the Harbourview. The name was a little misleading. Oh, sure, you could see the harbour... if you looked out the window and over about two rows of houses and over a field... and you could juuuuust catch a bit of it. Ah, well.... the room was quite nice. There is a picture of the bedroom in the next day's post about Fortune and St. Pierre.
On the recommendation of the lady who checked us into our room, we went to a local diner for dinner. My pan-fried cod was excellent, but the vegetables that went with it were... em.... tepid and not quite bitter. You could taste the can. The fries were very good. The service was good and everyone was happy enough with their meal. We were to be up early the next day for the ferry, so we didn't make it too late a night.
Fortune...ate that the rain let up by the time you arrived there.! ;-)

Should have dined at INN on Bay Fortune! ( my favourite chef Michael was Inn Chef there when starting out) :-)
